What it is

Myriad is an on-chain event-market venue that runs the same product across four chains. A market is a set of outcome shares priced between 0 and 1; the winning share settles at 1 and the rest at 0, and you can sell out of a position at any time while the market is open.

The settlement token depends on where the market lives: USD1 or USDT on BNB Smart Chain, USDC.e on Abstract, USDC on Linea, and PTS — a season points token, not a stablecoin — on Celo and Abstract. That last one matters more than it looks. Of the 49 open AMM markets returned by the public markets API on 4 October 2026, 14 were denominated in PTS, so a reader who assumes every Myriad market pays out in dollars will be wrong about a large share of the AMM listing. Check the token on the market before taking a position in it.

Two trading models exist, and the API returns only one of them unless asked. The AMM, where the outcome prices always sum to 1 and move as people buy and sell, is what GET /markets returns by default — which is why a read of that endpoint on 19 September 2026 found nothing else. Asked for both on 4 October 2026, the same endpoint returned 301 open markets on the central limit order book against 49 on the AMM. The order book runs on its own contracts on BNB Smart Chain, settles in USD1, and has its own API, WebSocket stream and client libraries; it is also the model behind the venue's in-play markets. Perpetual sentiment markets are a third shape: they never resolve, and they carry no trading fee.

Funding is non-custodial: an embedded wallet is created for you, and the docs are explicit that balances sit in that wallet or in the market contract rather than with Myriad. Deposits arrive by crypto transfer from 3 USD, or by card or Apple Pay from 20 USD through MoonPay, which runs its own checks.

Availability

The interface is published by Myriad Foundation, a Cayman Islands corporation, under terms of use last updated 13 January 2026. Those terms bar trading by anyone residing in or associated with a named list of prohibited territories:

Bahamas, Botswana, British Virgin Islands, Cambodia, Cayman Islands, North Korea, France, Iran, Libya, Malta, Ontario (CA), Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Singapore, Switzerland, Trinidad and Tobago, United States of America, Zimbabwe.

Two things follow that a summary usually drops. The list bans several wealthy markets a reader might assume are fine — France, Malta, Singapore and Switzerland — and it bans the Cayman Islands, where the operator itself is registered. Using a VPN to get round any of it is prohibited in the same section.

There is no KYC step in the venue's own flow: the account is a wallet, and the terms carry sanctions representations rather than an identity check. Funding by card goes through a payment provider that has its own requirements.

Pricing

Fees are set per market rather than by a single schedule. Both trading pages of the documentation say the API carries the fee for each market, and that per-market record is the schedule; the number on the market you are looking at is the only one that counts.

  • Order-book markets charge takers only. The fee peaks at the 50-cent midpoint and falls linearly to zero at the extremes, and the API returns each market's rate at every price. On 4 October 2026 the 301 open order-book markets carried three peaks: 1.00% on 178 of them, mostly economy and culture; 0.75% on 82, mostly sports and gaming; and 1.80% on 41, all crypto. The order-book page of the documentation still says the peak is currently 1.5%; no open market carried that rate. Makers pay nothing, and the order-book page says limit orders currently receive 100% fee rebates.
  • AMM markets charge on buys only, per the documentation "from 0% to 2%". The API splits that fee into a liquidity-provider, a treasury and a distributor share, and the total is what you pay: on 4 October 2026, of the 29 open non-perpetual stablecoin AMM markets, 17 on BNB Smart Chain charged 2%, 11 on Abstract charged 3% — above the documented range — and one charged nothing. Every PTS market charged nothing, and nothing charged anything on a sell. This card read 1% on 19 September 2026 — the size of the liquidity-provider share on its own.
  • Perpetual sentiment markets carry no trading fee at all — all six open on 4 October 2026 charged zero on both sides.
  • The app adds a flat 0.0085 USD per transaction to cover blockchain gas.

All of those percentages are charged on the amount you put in, not on the $1 a winning share pays. The 0.5% in this card's fee field is the order book's 1.00% peak converted to that basis — half a cent a share at the 50-cent midpoint — because the order book is where most open markets are and 1.00% is the peak most of them carry. Sports and gaming markets cost 0.375% on the same basis and crypto markets 0.9%. A stablecoin AMM market is dearer: a 2% buy is 1% of the payout at 50 cents, a 3% buy 1.5%.

Fees are split between liquidity providers, Myriad Protocol and third-party builders who embed the markets, which is also why they vary by market.

Markets & resolution

The listing covers crypto prices, football and esports fixtures, US and international politics, economic releases, company IPOs and entertainment. Three shapes are worth knowing: in-play markets stay open while the event runs, HIT markets have no expiry and resolve whenever an outcome is observed, and negative-risk category markets group mutually exclusive outcomes.

Resolution is entirely the operator's. Each market carries a Rules section naming the resolution source — the API returns it as a URL, and on the markets sampled it pointed at places like a league's results site, a wire service or the venue's own account. The Myriad team checks that source and resolves, typically within minutes of expiry and up to 48 hours for events that take longer to confirm.

There is no oracle vote, no dispute bond and no appeal. A market that cannot be resolved fairly is voided, and a voided market returns your position at its market value at the moment of cancellation — which can be more or less than you paid, depending on where the price was standing.

Integrations

There is a public REST API (api-v2.myriadprotocol.com) and a WebSocket stream carrying order book, trade, price and position updates. Read access is open; an API key raising the rate limit is issued by request. Client libraries are published for JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, Python, Dart, Swift and Java, and a first-party CLI can run an MCP server for agent-driven trading. Builders who embed Myriad markets in their own product take a share of the fees.

Limitations

  • No US, France, Malta, Singapore, Switzerland or Ontario under the current terms.
  • The operator is the only resolution authority. Nothing on this venue is decided by an oracle vote or a token-holder dispute, and there is no published appeal.
  • Part of the listing is points, not money. 14 of the 49 open AMM markets on 4 October 2026 were PTS, and PTS markets look identical to stablecoin markets in the interface.
  • Fees vary market by market — 0.75% to 1.80% at the order book's peak, 0% to 3% on an AMM buy — and the documentation's own figures (a 1.5% peak, a 0–2% AMM range) do not match what the API returned. Read the fee on the market before you trade it.
  • Liquidity is thin outside the headline markets. Volume on the open Linea market we sampled was under 10,000 USDC, against several million on the featured BNB Chain markets.
  • Nobody here has funded an account. Everything above comes from the venue's documentation, terms and public API on 19 September 2026, with the fees and the market counts re-read on 4 October 2026.

Background

How this part of the sector works, rather than which product to pick.

  • What a prediction market is, and how one works — A contract that pays one dollar if a stated event happens. What you buy, who takes the other side, who decides, and when the cents stop meaning a probability.
  • What backs the dollar on an on-chain venue — A stablecoin balance is a claim on an issuer you are usually not a customer of, held in contracts with admin keys. What you rely on, document by document.
  • How money gets back out — The rail that funded an account is usually not the rail that empties it. Same-source rules, clearing holds, jurisdiction locks, and what a bridge takes.

Also worth comparing

  • Futuur — Play-money and real-money markets side by side, priced by an LS-LMSR market maker.
  • Hyperliquid Outcome Markets — HIP-4 outcome contracts on Hyperliquid's own chain, from daily crypto binaries to sports.
  • Limitless — Event contracts on Base, collateralised in USDC, traded on a central limit order book.
  • Opinion — A BNB Chain order book for macro, crypto and sports outcomes, resolved by its AI oracle.
  • Polymarket — Self-custody event contracts on an on-chain order book, resolved by the UMA oracle.
  • Predict.fun — A BNB Chain order book in Binance-pegged USDT, where open positions earn Venus yield.

FAQ

Can I use Myriad from the United States?

No. The terms of use dated 13 January 2026 list the United States of America among the prohibited territories for trading, together with France, Malta, Singapore, Switzerland, the Cayman Islands and Ontario, among others. Using a VPN to get round the list is prohibited by the same section.

What does a trade cost on Myriad?

It depends on the market. On 4 October 2026, 301 of the 350 open markets ran on the order book, where only takers pay a fee that peaks at 50 cents and falls to zero at the extremes — most commonly 1.00% of the amount put in (0.5¢ a share at 50¢), 0.75% on sports and gaming, 1.80% on crypto. Stablecoin AMM markets charged 2% or 3% on buys and nothing on sells. The app adds 0.0085 USD per transaction for gas.

Which chain and which token is a Myriad market settled in?

It depends on the market. BNB Smart Chain markets settle in USD1 or USDT, Abstract markets in USDC.e, Linea markets in USDC, and a large share of open markets are denominated in PTS season points rather than in a stablecoin at all.

Who resolves a Myriad market, and can the resolution be disputed?

The Myriad team resolves every market against the source named in its rules — usually within minutes of expiry, up to 48 hours for slower events. There is no oracle vote and no on-chain dispute process. A market that cannot be resolved fairly is voided, and positions are returned at their market value at the time of cancellation.
