Chironus
Polymarket and Kalshi scanner with follows, email alerts and a paper-trading journal.
Best for someone learning both venues who wants one scanner, follows, email alerts and a paper-trading journal before funding an account; not for anyone who needs live quotes, an API or an order placed.

What it is
A web app that reads Polymarket and Kalshi and gives a reader three things on top of them: a scanner, follows with alerts, and a paper-trading desk with a journal. It holds no funds, places no orders and ships no API; every "Trade" link opens the venue. The pricing FAQ, read on 27 October 2026, puts it this way: the venues "make it easy to trade once you know what you want. Chironus helps you know what you want."
What the pages say each part does:
- Scanner. Every live market on Polymarket and Kalshi with more than $5,000 in lifetime volume ($1,000 for weather), filterable by category, venue, minimum volume, price, closing date and listing date, and searchable by name. The table is labelled "Delayed" and the scanner's FAQ says it "shows delayed cached data", with the cache time printed above the table. Four editorial category pages (climate and weather, politics, sports and entertainment, economy and finance) narrow the same scanner to one subject.
- Follows and alerts. Following an event puts every market inside it on a dashboard; one event is one slot, "whatever it holds". A weekly digest is on by default on every plan and a daily morning brief is optional. Real-time alerts are Pro only: an email "within a minute or two" of a market in a followed event moving more than a threshold that starts at 10 percent, adjustable globally or per event, with quiet hours, a daily cap and per-event mute.
- Paper trading. Every account starts with $1,000 of simulated funds, resettable to anything up to $1,000,000. A paper trade fills at the real ask on the way in and the real bid on the way out, so the spread is paid; a position marks against live prices and settles when the venue resolves the market. Trades carry up to two strategy tags and a free-text note, both editable after resolution. The history tab shows win rate, return and per-strategy records.
- Research. "Learn" articles, a glossary and event coverage, written in-house under an editorial-standards page that names its sources (venue fee schedules, CFTC filings, the data a market resolves on) and takes corrections at hello@chironus.com.
cross_venue is set from the vendor's own words: the terms call it "a live scanner that compares
prices across" the two venues, and the plan table lists "cross-platform discovery matches" on
every tier. Whether that is the same question priced side by side, or the two venues' markets in
one sorted table, was not checked in the app; the home page examples show one venue per row.
Availability
The terms, last updated July 2026 and read on 27 October 2026, name no restricted country. The only eligibility clause is an age: "You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service." The terms add that availability of the venues themselves "vary by country and, in the United States, by state", and that coverage of a venue "is not a statement that it is legal or available where you live".
The job here is reading, so the block describes the app and not the venues: a reader anywhere can open the scanner without an account, and a US reader can paper-trade a Polymarket market that the international venue would not let them hold. Signing up takes an email and password or a Google login, no identity document and no card. Who can actually place the order is on the venue cards: Kalshi and Polymarket US for US persons, Polymarket elsewhere.
Pricing
Two plans, both on the pricing page on 27 October 2026, with a line above them that matters more than the prices: "Pricing is shown for reference. Pro checkout and plan changes are paused." The scanner page of 25 October adds "Billing and email delivery are paused."
- Free, $0. Scanner, event pages, articles and live prices without signing in. With an account: 10 followed events on both venues, paper trading with 5 open positions and 5 trades a day, 30 days of history and journal, personalised market suggestions and the weekly digest.
- Pro, $20 a month. Unlimited followed events, real-time price alerts with thresholds, quiet hours and a daily cap, unlimited open paper positions, full history and journal while the plan is active, and $15 a month in "Chironus credits" to spend on expert content "as it launches". Credits expire at the end of each billing month. Billing is through Stripe, prorated on a change, cancellable in one click, no refund of a partial period.
The model is subscription because Pro lifts caps on the same job the free account does, and
free_tier is true because the scanner and five paper trades a day never run out. The entry
price in the listing is the published Pro figure; nobody could pay it on the day of verification.
On a downgrade you choose which 10 follows stay, and paper history older than 30 days "is deleted and does not come back if you re-subscribe".
The FAQ says subscriptions are the only revenue: "Chironus has no affiliate links and no affiliate business model. No platform pays for coverage or placement." The card carries no affiliate link either.
Markets & resolution
Chironus resolves nothing. A paper position "settles when the market resolves", on the venue's
official outcome; the scanner FAQ says positions "remain open until official final outcomes are
verified and settlement completes", so a disputed Polymarket market keeps a paper position open
for as long as the dispute runs. resolution_source is null for that reason, and the settlement
list is the two venues' values: Kalshi pays cash, Polymarket pays USDC.
The scanner covers whatever the two venues list above the volume floor, which is every bucket in
markets.categories; the vendor's own editorial pages are four (climate and weather, politics,
sports and entertainment, economy and finance). The leaderboard badge in the scanner marks a
trader "ranked on Polymarket's public leaderboard"; there is no wallet tracking beyond that
badge, and nothing of the kind for Kalshi.
Limitations
- The data is delayed. The scanner is labelled "Delayed" and its FAQ says the cache update time "does not guarantee the age of individual market quotes". A paper fill at "the live ask" is the ask the cache holds. For a quote you can act on, read the venue.
- Email delivery was paused on 25 October 2026, by the scanner page's own description, and Pro checkout with it. Until that line disappears, the alerts, digests and morning brief that the plan table promises are not being sent, and Pro cannot be bought. Re-check the scanner and pricing pages before relying on either.
- No API, no export, no websocket. Follows, positions and the journal live in the web app. The pricing FAQ lists Telegram and push delivery as "coming next"; neither existed on the day of verification.
- Paper trading is a simulator, not a backtest. It starts from today's prices and the outcomes it records are the ones that happen after you trade. It cannot replay a market, and the spread it charges is the one at the moment of the fill.
- Two venues only. Nothing from the play-money or on-chain venues outside Polymarket and Kalshi, and nothing from Polymarket US as a separate book.
- Expert content is advertised, not shipped. The home page says "verified experts are joining through the Academy", the about page that the network is being built, and the pricing FAQ that Pro credits will buy "pieces, picks and expert subscriptions" once it launches. Nothing of the kind was on the site on 27 October 2026, and the terms say nothing on the service is "a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any position". If paid picks or expert subscriptions go live, the card is re-read under the catalogue's signal test: a signal priced on its own, or named in the headline, takes a product out of scope.
- No publisher on the page. No legal entity, address or named person appears anywhere on the site; the terms choose Hong Kong law and the privacy policy cites Hong Kong's data ordinance. No user counts, testimonials or community beyond an X account.
Alternatives
- Polyrama puts Polymarket and Kalshi in one terminal with a REST API and wallet analytics, for a reader who wants to act from the same screen.
- CrossOdds is the Kalshi and Polymarket pairing done as a product, with the gap computed and an API, at the same $20 a month.
- PolyAlertHub and Polymarket Alerts are alerts first, on Polymarket only, with wallets and large fills that Chironus does not watch.
- Airavat is the other paper-trading desk in the catalogue, over Polymarket wallets rather than markets, and invite-only.

Background
How this part of the sector works, rather than which product to pick.
- Where a dashboard gets its data, and what it loses when that moves — A venue API, an indexer or the chain itself. Which one a dashboard reads decides how far back its history goes and what vanishes when that source changes.
- Why two dashboards show different volume for the same market — Volume is several quantities under one name - contracts or dollars, one side or both, swaps or also mints and merges, and whose day. How to tell which.

FAQ
Can I trade on Chironus?
No. The pricing page says Chironus is not a broker and that trade links route to Polymarket or Kalshi, where the order is placed. Paper trades fill at the live ask with simulated money and place nothing on either venue.
Is Chironus free?
The scanner, event pages and articles are free without an account. A free account adds 10 followed events, 5 open paper positions and 5 paper trades a day. Pro is listed at $20 a month, but on 27 October 2026 the pricing page said Pro checkout and plan changes are paused.
Which markets does the scanner cover?
Every live Polymarket and Kalshi market with more than $5,000 in lifetime volume, or $1,000 for weather, plus anything you follow or a Chironus article tracks. The scanner's own FAQ says the data is delayed and cached, with the cache time shown above the table.
Does Chironus recommend trades?
Not today. The site says it is not investment advice and publishes no picks. Pro includes $15 a month in credits for expert content, which the pricing FAQ describes as pieces, picks and expert subscriptions, to be spent as that content launches. None of it existed on 27 October 2026.
Who runs Chironus?
No company name, address or person appears on the site. The terms are governed by Hong Kong law with arbitration seated in Hong Kong, the privacy policy was first published in March 2026, and the contact address is hello@chironus.com.
