## What it is

A free explorer for [Polymarket](https://predictionmarkets.tools/tools/polymarket), read from the Polygon chain and Polymarket's
public APIs. The core is three kinds of page: a **trader page** for any wallet or username — P&L,
open positions, trade history, win rate and badges; a **market page** with the live mid-price, a
depth chart, volume and liquidity history, the ten largest holders on each side, news markers on
the price chart and matched posts from X; and a **transaction page** for a single fill with a link
to Polygonscan.

The whale radar flags any single fill of $5,000 or more and posts it to the page, an X account
(@PolyWhaleAlerts) and a Telegram bot with keyword filters. Trades carry badges — whale, sharp for
wallets with sustained profit, sniper for high returns in thin markets — and the API tags fills
with anomaly labels such as a new wallet or a trade large against the market's volume. Around them
sit leaderboards cut by Polymarket's own event tags (Geopolitics, Bitcoin, NBA, Fed Rates),
shareable wallet watchlists, a "losers" board of wallets holding losing positions, and an
estimator of a possible $POLY airdrop per wallet.

The rest is a long tail of experiments: a Polymarket-versus-[Kalshi](https://predictionmarkets.tools/tools/kalshi) price
comparison, an AI-flagged scanner for markets with ambiguous rules, a paper-trading arena for AI
agents run through the agent API, a chat assistant, challenges, and a marketplace for selling
picks. The picks marketplace is what sets the flag at the foot of this card; see Limitations. The
tail also sheds pages: an "AI vs Humans" page that ranked markets by how far language-model
estimates sat from the price has been retired, and the app's router now sends `/ai-vs-humans`, and
the `/agents` arena pages, to the home page.

## Availability

Nothing to sign up for to read it, nothing to deposit and no identity check. Signing in, which
some features want, is by wallet connection or email. The terms set out no geography of their own;
they say the market data comes from international Polymarket, which is view-only for US users, and
that US residents may be able to trade on Polymarket US where eligible. Reading the data is
therefore open to a US reader, and acting on it on the international venue is not.

Checked against the terms of service and privacy policy on 30 September 2026. Both carry a
last-updated date of 25 December 2024, which is older than some of what they describe: the terms
mention Polymarket's builder programme and Polymarket US, so the text has moved without the date
moving.

## Pricing

Free, in the sense the site means it: every trader page, market page, whale feed, leaderboard and
the airdrop estimator are open without a paywall, a signup or a meter, and market data pages are
published under CC BY 4.0. The agent API and MCP server are free as well.

The one priced thing is the chat assistant. The site's code labels three tiers for it — a visitor,
a free account, and **Copilot Pro at $10 a month** for a larger message quota and what it calls a
"priority brain" — with card and USDC billing endpoints behind the upgrade. There is no pricing
page (the `/pricing` path returns "Page Not Found"), so the figure comes from the shipped app
rather than a published plan table.

What pays for the rest is disclosed on the page: PolymarketScan is in Polymarket's builder
(referral) programme and may earn a fee when you follow its links to Polymarket and trade. Its
own documentation also lists premium analyst panels and embeddable widgets for publishers as
revenue. None of that costs the reader anything; it does mean the site is paid when you trade.

The picks marketplace has its own money flow. A trader who signs up as an "influencer" sets a
monthly price for their picks, "Set $0 for free access, or any price up to $5,000", and the
subscribe box says "80% goes to the trader", so PolymarketScan keeps 20% of every paid
subscription. That is a third party's price, not the site's, so it is not a tier on this card. On
1 October 2026 neither listed trader charged anything.

Checked on 30 September 2026; the chat tiers and the picks terms re-read from the app's code on 1
October 2026.

## Markets & resolution

It resolves nothing and places no orders. Every market, price and outcome is Polymarket's, settled
by Polymarket through the UMA optimistic oracle, and the site's own caveats point out that P&L
shown during a dispute window may change once the vote concludes.

The documented refresh cadence differs by surface: trades in real time from on-chain events,
leaderboards hourly, airdrop scores daily at midnight UTC; the agent API caches responses for 60
seconds and refreshes its data every two to five minutes. Headline wallet P&L uses Polymarket's
own `/user-pnl` figure rather than a sum the site computes from positions.

The cross-venue page pairs Polymarket and Kalshi markets by embedding similarity at a cosine of
0.92 or more, then checks resolution dates and sources, with manual review for high-confidence
pairs. Two questions that read alike can still resolve against different sources, which is the
check worth repeating yourself.

## Integrations

The **agent API** is a single REST endpoint on Supabase with an `action` parameter — markets,
market, search, trader, whales, leaderboard, categories, stats, the AI-vs-humans list and the
arena calls. The AI-vs-humans action outlived its page: on 1 October 2026 it still answered, with a
single matched market and a divergence of zero. No key, 60 requests a minute per IP, JSON responses. It answered a keyless request
for whale trades and site stats on 30 September 2026.

The **MCP server** is a Streamable HTTP endpoint, also keyless. A `tools/list` call against it
returned 18 tools on 1 October 2026, including whale trades, market odds and order book, trader
profile, positions and activity, price history, news context, resolution status and arbitrage
candidates; the site's own skill file still says 8. There is also an `llms.txt` pair.

One behaviour to design around: `llms-full.txt` says the UI-facing edge functions return HTTP 200
with an empty object on an internal failure rather than an error, on purpose. Against those, a
client cannot tell "no whale trades" from "the backend failed" by status code alone. The agent API
is documented differently: its skill file lists 400, 404, 405, 429 and 500 responses, each with a
body of `{ "ok": false, "error": ... }`.

## Limitations

**The picks marketplace is outcome opinion, and that is why the flag is set.** It invites traders
to "Become an Influencer - Monetize your trading alpha. Set your price…" and sell subscriptions to
their picks, with 20% of each paid one going to PolymarketScan. The site's own picks endpoint
listed two influencers on 1 October 2026, both priced at $0 with no earnings, carrying 10 and 5
subscribers; the most recent pick was dated 23 July 2026. `/picks` is in the site map but not in
the navigation or the footer. Nothing on a pick places an order: its "Copy Trade" box shows a
confirmation toast and sends nothing, because no handler is wired to it, and "Copy all positions"
only writes the list to the browser console. The one working copy path leaves the site, a "Copy
this trader on Polycool (Telegram)" button that hands you to [Polycool](https://predictionmarkets.tools/tools/polycool).
`ai_features` is set to `recommendations` because of the marketplace, not because of the explorer,
which is plain chain data.

**The airdrop estimator is speculation by its own account.** It scores wallets on a 1,000-point
model calibrated against other protocols' airdrops. Polymarket has confirmed no airdrop, snapshot
or formula, and the site says so.

**Marketing figures and live figures disagree.** The documentation cites 1.35 million wallets and
"160+ developers"; the public stats endpoint reported roughly 70 to 160 daily active users a day in
the last week of September 2026, and the homepage whale tape read "whale tape unavailable" when we
fetched it. Treat the scale claims as the vendor's.

**It is paid when you trade.** The referral fee is disclosed in the footer and the terms, and the
site says its rankings are never paid placements. It is still a reader of Polymarket that earns
from sending you to Polymarket.

**Polymarket only, for the records.** Wallet history exists because Polymarket is on-chain; the
Kalshi comparison is prices, not traders.

**Nobody named.** The terms and privacy policy identify no company, only contact addresses.

## Alternatives

[OrcaLayer](https://predictionmarkets.tools/tools/orcalayer) covers the same wallets with published farmer and bot filters and a
paid API. [Predicts.guru](https://predictionmarkets.tools/tools/predicts-guru) and [Polymarket Analytics](https://predictionmarkets.tools/tools/polymarket-analytics)
are the other free wallet readers. For the whale feed across Polymarket and Kalshi together, with
scores and a developer tier, see [Polywhaler](https://predictionmarkets.tools/tools/polywhaler). For raw data rather than a site,
[Polymarket's Data API](https://predictionmarkets.tools/tools/polymarket-data-api) is the source much of this is read from.

## FAQ

### Does the PolymarketScan API need a key?

No. The agent API and the MCP server are both documented as open, with no key, no OAuth and CORS open to every origin, at 60 requests a minute per IP. An agent_id parameter is encouraged for usage tracking and required only for the paper-trading arena.

### How does PolymarketScan make money if it is free?

Its own terms and footer say it takes part in Polymarket's builder programme and may earn a referral fee when you follow its links to Polymarket and trade there. Its documentation also names premium analyst panels and embeddable widgets as revenue, and the site's code carries a 10-dollar monthly upgrade for its chat assistant.

### What counts as a whale on PolymarketScan?

Any single fill of 5,000 dollars or more in notional, detected from on-chain events. The site's own documentation warns that this is a size heuristic, not an identity claim, and that one 5,000-dollar trade does not show informed positioning; wallets with a sustained profit record are badged separately.

## Background

- [Where a dashboard gets its data, and what it loses when that moves](https://predictionmarkets.tools/guides/where-a-dashboard-gets-its-data.md) — A venue API, an indexer or the chain itself. Which one a dashboard reads decides how far back its history goes and what vanishes when that source changes.

- [Why two dashboards show different volume for the same market](https://predictionmarkets.tools/guides/why-two-dashboards-disagree-on-volume.md) — Volume is several quantities under one name - contracts or dollars, one side or both, swaps or also mints and merges, and whose day. How to tell which.
- [What wallet tracking shows, and what it cannot](https://predictionmarkets.tools/guides/what-wallet-tracking-shows.md) — A Polymarket fill is a public transaction and a regulated exchange position is not, so wallet analytics exist on one venue and not the other.
