## What it is

A browser trading terminal for event contracts on three venues at once: [Kalshi](https://predictionmarkets.tools/tools/kalshi),
[Polymarket](https://predictionmarkets.tools/tools/polymarket) and Predict.fun, a venue on BNB Chain that has no card here. The
central screen merges the three order books into one price ladder. The same question listed on two
venues shows up as one instrument, with a composite best bid and best offer, so you can see which
venue is actually cheapest before you send. Around that sit charts, positions, orders, a news panel
and draggable, saved layouts. The job is a terminal: you trade from it, and it replaces four tabs.

**Three engines sit behind the screen.**

- **Order routing.** Market and limit orders with five time-in-force values (GTC, GTD, FOK, FAK,
IOC), take-profit and stop-loss in the terminal's order panel, and a price required even on a
market order, which Kairos treats as the worst price you will accept.
- **Krisis, the conditional-order engine.** It evaluates rules against live books on every tick and
fires orders when they hold: stop-losses, trailing stops, OCO and OTO brackets, TWAP schedules,
market making, and custom conditions in its own expression language. There is a backtest endpoint
over recorded books. The bot templates on the landing page are parameter presets for these rules.
- **Copy trading.** Pick a wallet from a leaderboard ranked by realised profit, set a percentage or
a fixed-dollar allocation, and Kairos mirrors that wallet's Polymarket and Predict.fun trades into
your account. Signals older than 30 seconds are dropped, and Polymarket market buys under $1 are
skipped because the venue rejects them.

Kairos is published by KairosLive Inc., a Delaware-law company. Its landing page cites a $2.5m seed
round led by a16z crypto, with Geneva Trading participating.

## Availability

**Kairos keeps its own restriction list, and it is narrower than any venue's.** The live list its
docs render, read on 30 September 2026, blocks 22 countries outright, each marked "OFAC sanctions".
The only per-venue rule on it is the United States, blocked from Polymarket and Predict.fun and left
open for Kalshi. That is why `us_persons` is `true` here: a US reader can use the terminal against
Kalshi, and only against Kalshi.

The list is Kairos's configuration, not the venues' rules. Polymarket's own blocklist, on its card,
is considerably longer than one country. A reader in a country Kairos leaves open for Polymarket may
still be outside Polymarket's terms, and Kairos's terms put compliance with local law on you. The
terms also forbid using a VPN or proxy to get around any restriction. The jurisdictions above are
therefore the venues' reach, not Kairos's list: the union of what [Kalshi](https://predictionmarkets.tools/tools/kalshi) and
Polymarket each serve. Predict.fun has no card here and its terms have not been read for this one,
so it adds nothing to that union.

**No identity check is documented for Kairos itself.** The terms reserve the right to ask for
identity, source-of-funds or sanctions information at any time, and to suspend an account that does
not supply it. Kalshi runs its own identity check on the Kalshi account the orders go to. The
conditional-order engine's docs have you store Kalshi API credentials with Kairos for that.

Terms of service (last updated 17 February 2026) and the live restriction list read on 30 September
2026.

## Pricing

**No subscription, and a fee on every taker fill.** The fee has two parts, and the docs tell you never to
assume either is zero:

- **The Kairos platform fee**, set by your volume tier and charged on notional (shares times price).
- **The venue's own fee**, charged by the exchange and passed through.

The live fee ladder, read from Kairos's fee configuration on 30 September 2026 (last changed 2
September), uses a parabola for the taker side: the rate peaks at a 50-cent fill and tapers toward
both ends.

| Tier | 30-day volume | Taker at 50¢ | Taker at 0¢ / 100¢ | Maker |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kairos Starter | from 0 | 50 bps | 10 bps | 0 |
| Kairos Bronze | 50,000 USD | 40 bps | 9 bps | 0 |
| Kairos Silver | 99,900 USD | 30 bps | 8 bps | 0 |
| Kairos Gold | 1,000,000 USD | 25 bps | 5 bps | 0 |

Every tier is marked gas-sponsored. Rates are capped at 1,000 basis points by the docs, and the fee
quote returned before an order is the number that binds for that order.

**Why the fee field above reads 0.25% and not 0.5%.** This catalogue records a fee as a share of the
$1 a contract pays out, at a price of 50 cents. Kairos charges 50 basis points on notional, and a
50-cent contract has 50 cents of notional, so the Starter fee is a quarter of a cent per contract.
On 100 contracts that is $0.25 at 50 cents, about $0.22 at 90 cents and about $0.02 at 10 cents.
Resting maker orders pay no Kairos fee, which is why the maker field reads "None", but the venue can
still charge them: a small set of Kalshi series carry a maker fee at a quarter of the taker
coefficient, and Kalshi's combination markets charge the maker half the taker rate.

The venue fee on top is usually the larger number. Kairos's own docs reproduce the schedules: a
Polymarket sports fill at 50 cents costs $1.25 per 100 shares, a standard Kalshi series $1.75. The
docs mark their Kalshi numbers as estimates maintained by hand, because Kalshi publishes no fee API.

**The APIs are priced separately.** The Market Data API answers without a signup on a per-IP budget
of 120 light and 20 heavy units a minute. The docs call that tier a courtesy that can be switched
off within about 30 seconds, and say to build production on a key. The full Data and Execution APIs
need a key, and the enterprise API is quoted per credential rather than published.

## Markets & resolution

Every contract belongs to Kalshi, Polymarket or Predict.fun
and resolves under that venue's rules: Kalshi as a CFTC-designated contract market, Polymarket
through its on-chain process. The API also carries Hyperliquid's HIP-4 outcome markets as data only,
and keeps Opinion, a venue that has shut down, in its provider list for history.

**Matching is a model, not a rulebook.** The merged book and the cross-venue arbitrage feed rest on
pairs that Kairos's matcher scores as the same question, surfacing only pairs at a similarity of 0.82
or above. Two venues can word a question alike and resolve it differently: different sources,
different cut-off times, different handling of an ambiguous outcome. A pair that matches on the
screen is a claim about wording, and the resolution rules on each venue's own market page decide
the payout.

Positions are held in different currencies on different venues. The account docs say there is no
grand total across them, because Kalshi dollars and on-chain USDC sit in different custody domains
and no single order can spend both.

## Integrations

The API is the same one the terminal runs on, and it is documented in public, with 102 endpoints and
OpenAPI specs:

- **Data API** at `data.kairos.trade`: markets, discovery, search, candles, trades, profit-and-loss
and trader statistics. The matched-markets endpoints are public with no key.
- **Market Data API** at `md.kairos.trade`: a lighter read-only service with the anonymous tier.
- **Execution API** at `execution.kairos.trade`: orders, batch cancels, a per-venue cancel-all, and
split, merge and redeem on Polymarket's conditional tokens. Keys come in three parts and are scoped
  (`trade:execute`, `trade:read`, `position:read`), with optional IP allow-listing.
- **Streams**: a protobuf market-data WebSocket and a JSON order-update socket.
- **External execution**, allow-listed per account, for desks that sign every order with their own
  key.

There is no published Python or TypeScript SDK and no MCP server. The docs point you at the protobuf
toolchain to decode the stream yourself.

## Limitations

**The terms and the docs describe two different custody models.** The terms of service say Kairos
does not custody user funds or hold private keys. The API docs call the default order path "the
custodial lane, where Kairos signs and routes on your behalf". They describe a managed key in a cloud
HSM, list "Kairos-custodied" wallets in the balance endpoint, and say on-chain operations such as
approvals and redemptions stay custodial even on the self-signing lane. The enterprise page adds that
keys sit in your own Turnkey enclave and are exportable. The terms are the document that binds you.
Read them as a claim about who can move funds, and read the docs as a description of what actually
signs your orders.

**The landing page shows a feature the docs say is gone.** The bot builder pictured on the front page
has a paper-trading switch. The conditional-order docs say paper execution has been removed and
`live` is the only mode. Treat every bot here as trading real money.

**An armed strategy can sit silent for days.** A Krisis strategy with no fund or no credentials
attached still arms and returns success. The shortfall appears only as a skipped execution in a log
nobody is watching.

**Copy trading has two sharp edges, both from the vendor's own docs.** A failed copy for lack of
balance pauses every subscription you have, not just the one that failed. Copies older than 30
seconds are dropped without a trace in the activity feed. And a copy that does go through arrives
after the leader's fill has already moved the book.

**Three venues, not every venue.** No Limitless, no Polymarket US, and no ProphetX or
Novig, which the docs say are not supported. For a US reader it is one venue in practice.

**Beta paperwork in places.** The docs say both that you create API keys in the dashboard and that
the Kairos team issues them during the beta, and the Kalshi fee quotes are estimates.

## Alternatives

[Polyrama](https://predictionmarkets.tools/tools/polyrama) is the nearest free terminal across Polymarket and Kalshi, with a REST
API and an MCP server, and no fee of its own on a fill. [Betmoar](https://predictionmarkets.tools/tools/betmoar) is a free
front end for Polymarket alone. To keep your own keys and pay only the venue's fee across venues,
[PMXT](https://predictionmarkets.tools/tools/pmxt) is an open-source library with one interface to several exchanges, at the cost
of writing the terminal yourself.

For cross-venue data without execution, [Adjacent](https://predictionmarkets.tools/tools/adjacent) matches Kalshi and Polymarket
into one schema and [FinFeedAPI](https://predictionmarkets.tools/tools/finfeedapi) sells a normalised feed.

For copy trading on Polymarket without a terminal around it, [PolyCop](https://predictionmarkets.tools/tools/polycop) does it
from Telegram, alongside unattended auto-trades and manual orders, and
[Polycool](https://predictionmarkets.tools/tools/polycool) does it from a phone client with parlays beside it.

## FAQ

### Is Kairos an exchange?

No. Its own docs say it is a trading terminal. Orders execute on Kalshi, Polymarket or Predict.fun, positions live at those venues, and Kairos supplies the merged book, the data and the order routing. It resolves nothing.

### What does Kairos charge?

A platform fee on each taker fill, on top of the venue's fee. On the entry tier a taker pays 50 basis points of the fill's notional at a 50-cent price (0.25¢ a contract), falling to 10 basis points near 0 and 100 cents. Resting maker orders pay no Kairos fee on any tier. There is no subscription.

### Can a US person use Kairos?

For Kalshi, yes. Kairos's live restriction list, read on 30 September 2026, blocks the United States from Polymarket and Predict.fun routing and from nothing else. The rest of that list is 22 sanctioned countries blocked outright. Copy trading mirrors only Polymarket and Predict.fun trades, so a US user gets the terminal, the data and the conditional orders on Kalshi, and no copy trading.

### Does Kairos hold my keys?

Its documents disagree. The terms of service say Kairos does not custody funds or hold private keys. The API docs call the default order path the custodial lane, signed for you by a managed key in a cloud HSM through Turnkey, and describe the wallets as Kairos-custodied. Only an allow-listed external-signing lane has you sign with your own key.

## Background

- [What running a bot does not solve](https://predictionmarkets.tools/guides/what-a-bot-cannot-fix.md) — A bot fixes speed and consistency. Rate limits, a missing rehearsal, a field that stops arriving, a partial fill and a paused market are not coding problems.

- [What a trade actually costs on a prediction market](https://predictionmarkets.tools/guides/what-a-trade-actually-costs.md) — Venues publish trading fees in four incompatible units, so 3.00% on one can be cheaper than 1.75% on another. How to convert them, and what else takes a cut.
- [Why your bot gets throttled, and what the limit is counted against](https://predictionmarkets.tools/guides/why-your-bot-gets-throttled.md) — Kalshi meters tokens per account tier; Polymarket's order book meters requests per IP and queues the excess. What each counts, and what the libraries assume.
